Lincoln Electric to Introduce Laser Welding Benefits and Approaches at July 16 Seminar

Cleveland – Manufacturing facilities considering a laser welding solution can learn more about the benefits and approaches during a special seminar at Lincoln Electric’s Automation Division on July 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST. Lasers address a number of issues in manufacturing facilities, and the seminar will address how to approach those issues while introducing new laser solutions.

“Lincoln Electric’s Laser Welding and Cutting Seminar will help attendees think differently about the technologies they use to design and fabricate,” said Paul Denney, senior laser application engineer, Lincoln Electric. “By explaining the benefits and going through examples, they will see how a laser solution will meet their operational needs.”

During the event, presenters will explain how lasers improve productivity with faster welding. Lasers eliminate any secondary processes, such as straightening, because there is less distortion. Unlike other techniques, attendees will see how the flexibility of a laser can be used for cutting.

The laser hot wire cladding demonstration will also show how the process saves material in operation because of a decrease in the dilution. Other demonstrations at the seminar include autogenous welding and hybrid welding.
