Cleveland – A lucky group of Airgas Inc. employees and their guests, 46 in all, enjoyed VIP treatment at the 93rd annual Indianapolis 500 race this past Sunday, May 24, 2009, courtesy of Lincoln Electric.
Sales team members were selected for the trip based on sales performance during the recent Airgas/Lincoln Electric “Drive to Indy” promotion. Employees traveled to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from 12 different states, ranging from Alaska to Florida. The all-inclusive trip included several behind-the-scenes experiences, including in-suite visits by drivers Alex Lloyd and John Andretti, as well as tours of the Indy 500 garage and pit areas.
