Lincoln Electric Introduces Fabricated Welding Booths for Improved Workspace Management in Production and Training Applications

Cleveland Lincoln Electric has added a new fabricated Welding Booth to its robust product offering. The booth offers training, educational and vocational centers, as well as other stationary production welding applications, an ideal solution for workspace management.

The new booth comes in two generous sizes – 5’ x 5’ and 6’ x 6’ – that meet American Welding Society (AWS) guidelines for booth width and depth. It features rugged steel construction, allowing it to stand up to the rigors of production welding operations or training environments. Its easy installation helps minimize start-up costs.

Providing modular flexibility, the booth can be used as a stand-alone unit, or placed side-by-side and/or back-to-back in a multiple booth installation.

Source capture weld fume control is available as an option with the new Lincoln Electric telescopic extraction arm. The arm is made from scratch and dent-resistant material, extends from 40” to 80” in length and includes a 360-degree rotatable hood for optimal positioning.

Also available are the following options:

-Worktable with adjustable overhead welding bracket, offering additional comfort for operators and students

-Welding curtain helps protect other students and workers from arc flash and spark

-Tool shelves with torch holders to keep the booth neat and organized

-Locker box for convenient storage space for an operator’s personal items, including welding hood, jacket, gloves and other related items

The operation of welding fume control equipment is affected by various factors including proper use and positioning of the equipment, maintenance of the equipment and the specific welding procedure and application involved. Worker exposure level should be checked upon installation and periodically thereafter to be certain it is within applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) permissible exposure limit (PEL) and American Conference of Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) threshold limit value (TLV) limits
